At an annual flagship partner event to announce winners, updates in Microsoft, technology trends, and partner news, here are ten key takeaways from Microsoft’s Inspire 2023, focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) advancements and strategic partnerships.

  • Bing Chat for Enterprise:  Think of Bing Chat as an embedded ChatGPT across your Office application. Bing Chat for Enterprise unlocks generative AI for work and gives your organization AI-powered chat with commercial data protection. According to Microsoft, with Bing Chat for Enterprise, user and business data are protected. Chat data/history is not saved and, your data is not used to train the AI models. Bing Chat Enterprise is rolling out in preview in Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premium. In the future, it will be available as a standalone offering for $5 per user, per month.

 

  • Microsoft 365 Copilot pricing: Microsoft 365 Copilot is an AI Large Language Model (LLM) tool that can help you write, summarize, and create from within the Microsoft Office applications. Microsoft 365 Copilot will be available for $30 per user per month for Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premium customers when broadly available. 

 

  • Microsoft Sales Copilot: Sales automation just got interesting and easy with the integration of AI. The copilot designed for sales, empowers sales teams to increase productivity and personalize every customer interaction so they can close more deals. It is experienced in the applications that the Sales team or seller works with, whether it is Outlook, Teams, or Dynamics 365 Sales, and connects to other CRM systems like Salesforce or Dynamics 365. Within Teams, sellers receive coaching tips during meetings, helping them reply to customer inquiries, and meeting summaries with action items that are automatically converted to tasks in CRM, saving sellers time and personalizing customer interactions. These capabilities from Viva Sales are now part of Sales Copilot and available within Dynamics 365 Sales, along with new functionality like AI-generated opportunity summaries for sellers to quickly catch up on pipeline and meeting preparation which summarizes customer details, past interactions, and related news. Sales Copilot is generally available today both as a standalone subscription and included as part of customers’ existing Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise & Premium licenses at no additional cost, with new capabilities rolling out this month.

 

  • AI-Powered Process Mining in Power Automate: provides AI-powered insights that enable customers to optimize existing processes and drive efficiencies with low-code automation. Power Automate Process Mining offers two industry-standard capabilities, task mining, and process mining, that break down barriers that might make it difficult for an organization to identify inefficiencies in their workflows and where to improve. Process Mining includes functionality such as the Process Mining desktop app with advanced analytics and Power BI customization.

 

  • New Solution Partner Designation: The new AI Cloud Partner Program also provides certain partners with a special AI designation, which they can use in their marketing efforts to bring awareness to the fact that they have a certain level of expertise in offering AI-level services. Microsoft also announced a variety of other new designations that signify other proven skills and specializations, including a training service designation, an ISV (independent software vendor) designation, and a support services designation.
