We recently welcomed Abayomi Adebanjo to our Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director. With experience in human capital development, corporate governance, and business transformation, Abayomi brings strategic insight and a people-first leadership style to the company’s journey.
We caught up with him to hear his thoughts on leadership, culture, innovation, and his vision for the future with Signal Alliance Consulting.
Q: Congratulations on your new role. What drew you to Signal Alliance Consulting at this point in your career?
Abayomi Adebanjo: Thank you. For me, it’s always about alignment. Alignment of values, purpose, and the opportunity to make meaningful impact. Signal Alliance Consulting has a strong legacy in technology advisory and innovation, but what really impressed me was its commitment to doing business with integrity and heart. I saw a chance to add value where it matters most: through people, culture, and strategic growth.
Q: You’ve worked across indigenous and multinational organizations. How do you bring that global-local lens into boardroom decisions?
Abayomi: It’s about balance. Global best practices offer structure, but the local context gives you nuance and empathy. In leadership, one size doesn’t fit all. My experiences have taught me to lead with context thereby understanding people, culture, and business realities in tandem. It allows you to make decisions that are both strategic and sustainable.
Q: In your view, what’s the biggest opportunity HR and people strategy bring to a tech consulting firm today?
Abayomi: In tech, it’s tempting to focus solely on product, process, or platforms. But at the center of it all is people. The biggest opportunity is to use HR as a lever for innovation and differentiation. Whether it’s developing future-ready leaders, fostering cross-functional collaboration, or building a culture of continuous learning. People strategy is the real engine of long-term success.
Q: Let’s talk leadership. What personal leadership values do you carry into this new board role?
Abayomi: I lead with clarity, humility, and accountability. Leadership isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about creating space for others to grow, speak up, and succeed. I believe in listening deeply, thinking strategically, and acting decisively. At board level, those values translate into good governance, strong collaboration with executives, and always keeping an eye on long-term value.
Q: What are your immediate goals or priorities in your first few months on the board?
Abayomi: My focus is on listening and learning first. I want to understand the heartbeat of the business—how teams work, what clients value, and where the board can best support leadership. From there, my aim is to contribute meaningfully to discussions around talent, growth strategy, and organizational resilience.
Q: And finally, what advice would you give to younger professionals aspiring to leadership in tech or HR?
Abayomi: Stay curious and stay grounded. The world is moving fast, but self-awareness and consistency never go out of style. Invest in relationships, be generous with your knowledge, and don’t wait for permission to lead, start by making an impact where you are.
At Signal Alliance Consulting, we believe that the future of business lies at the intersection of innovation and people. Abayomi Adebanjo embodies that principle. His track record of driving innovation through empathy, structure, and foresight makes him a vital addition to our leadership team. We’re excited about the journey ahead and look forward to the value he will bring in helping us deliver smarter, more human-centered technology advisory services to our clients.
Welcome on board, Abayomi.
